In Christ I may know that I am a beloved child of God saved by grace. I love God and His Word. I love to dive deep in the Word to learn more about Who God is, His plans, about Jesus and the Holy Spirit and to share this with women through writing and speaking. I earned certificates in Theology and I have taken writing courses at Utrecht University. Since 2025 I serve in the executive committee of my local church.

Born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, now I live in a beautiful, rural region of the country where I can go for long walks. I love to be in nature where God’s presence speaks through His creation. To glorify Him and deepening my gratitude. My housemates are two furry, spoiled British shorthair sisters Nora and Doortje.

Since my childhood I love reading and writing. I wrote in friendship books, articles for school and church magazines and many letters to penpals all over the world. Writing was always in the background, due to my fulltime work as a projectmanager and later as an entrepreneur. I have been writing since 2010. Articles for Dutch Christian magazines, devotions, Biblestudies and four books. I love to encourage women and help them grow in their faith.

From 2010 to 2020 I was also a fulltime caregiver for my father and mother. We shared the same house. I wrote two published books about caregiving to encourage, support and equip caregivers in their often lonely and misunderstood journey.

I am the co-founder of Fruitfull Life Foundation. The objective of this ministry is a better life for women worldwide. This work and also many years of involvement in worldwide Bibledistribution, brings me to many countries.

Behind the pages of my books

The inspiration for Mourning for Joy comes from my experience as a fulltime caregiver for my parents. After cardiac arrhythmias my mother was diagnosed with vascular dementia. Dementia is a degenerative brain desease. The book is about the mourning process for a loved one with dementia. I wrote this book in Dutch, but I am very thankfull to God that this book will be available for English readers in 2027 God willing! I want to encourage and equip caregivers. Caring is tough, but to care for loved ones with dementia is different. The book is also interesting for churchleaders and pastors.

Mijn boek Vreugde voor Verdriet gaat over het rouwproces waar je als mantelzorger of familie doorheen gaat om een geliefde met dementie. Als gevolg van de hersenziekte dementie kan de persoonlijkheid en/of het gedrag van die geliefde veranderen. Dit boek gaat over mijn persoonlijke ervaring als mantelzorger en dochter. Ik wil naasten, mantelzorgers en familie die zorgen voor een geliefde met dementie hiermee bemoedigen in hun vaak eenzame en onbegrepen taak.

Mijn boek Rachab, een vrouw van waarde, gaat over de Bijbelse Rachab. Wie is zij? Wat kunnen we van haar leren? God heeft het leven van Rachab vernieuwd. Hij heeft haar in ere hersteld. De inspiratie voor dit boek komt van de ervaring met het werken met vrouwen die we steunen via Fruitfull Life Foundation. Zie voor meer informatie bij (link naar Ministry).
